Gavin's 2025 wrapped (the BAD and GOOD)

Everything we achieved

Seems like wrapped is all the rage nowadays, so here is everything we achieved, and flopped:

The bad (I’ll start here, because if it bleeds it leads):

Instagram and TikTok

I took a stab at growing my Instagram and TikTok this year, and really couldn’t seem to get any traction. It wasn’t for lack of trying, but largely because we just couldn't seem to dial in our hooks. Next year, starting in February, I am going to remedy this, you watch.

Twitter and LinkedIn Growth

My growth on these platforms seemed to stagnate this year. The lead magnets we were using just didn’t seem to resonate. I am working on 15 new lead magnets that I have seen work to roll out next year… you watch ;)

SEO

I had a goal of really dialling in my SEO this year, but the agency I hired had a change of plans. No big deal, we ended up getting a full refund after some of the work was complete, and we will look at fixing this up next year.

Staffing

Halfway through the year, we were really struggling to maintain standards with the rate of growth we were experiencing, relating to some staff. We had to, unfortunately, let some people go. This was a great lesson in both figuring out where I was failing the team and where we could improve our training.

The good

Revenue

Four consecutive months generating above 100k NZD in revenue.

Youtube

Successfully launched two YouTube channels, generating well over 100k views since launching. This push has paid for itself 10-fold. The real challenge was seeing if this was something I could feasibly manage (4 videos a week), and we nailed it.

Partnerships

We managed to create some really solid partnerships with certain Saas companies, rolling out tools for most of our clients, generating results, affiliate deals, and referral partnerships.

Black Friday

We systematically rolled out BFCM strategies for multiple clients, getting the most revenue many of these businesses have ever seen.

Skool

Launched the Skool program and are currently generating $1,000 per month in MRR.

Team

We built a team of absolute killers, who, most importantly, are loyal and buy into the vision of the company.

Cash back

We pulled in $3.6k in cash back on my credit card which is pretty sick.

Overall wrap

Overall, I am stoked with the agency. We have built a company that is much better than everything else in the market, and we have built a team that truly shares the vision of In-box, which in 2030, is to be the biggest email marketing agency out there. I will be sharing a goal for next year in an article in the coming weeks, but so far, everything is going as planned. In 2026, my role will be fully focused towards marketing the company itself. This means more videos, more guides, and a massive social media push (more on this later)
